We follow modern nutrition trends, spending a lot of money on food products labelled as „healthy“ and „organic“, get dieting inspiration from our favorite celebrities. We base our health philosophy on holistic wellness approach and ayurveda principles.

Our Food Philosophy
We believe in ayurvedic teaching, that we all are composed of 5 great elements: Space,Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Each individual has a unique composition of these elements, which are expressed in us through bioenergies called doshas, which have certain characteristics.
If we want to feel good, that is to find our balance, we must provide our body through our diet and habits with the opposite characteristics of those that it possesses in excess.
Stress, lack of motivation, overthinking and self-demand are also imbalances.
This is related to our lifestyle and habits, such as caffeine consumption, alcohol, constant exposure to negative news, junk food and other factors.
Our meals – with a particular touch of western vegan cuisine – are 100% plant-based, gluten-free, and refined-sugar-free, full of flavors, colors, and nutrients that are key to our well-being.
We use fresh, local and seasonal vegetables, fruits and ingredients that nourish us and give us a feeling of vitality.
In addition, we teach you to cook & eat in connection with food, joy & gratitude, as it is scientifucally proven that when done so, the food can work its magic for us.

Your Guides

Renata
Renata dedicated 20 years to project and operational management in international corporations. In 2020 she realized that time spent in nature is much more valuable to her at this point of life than time spent on endless corporate meetings. So she quit her job in July 2021 to start traveling and learning about life outside of office walls, focusing on things that truly matter to her. She loves cooking, self development, meeting inspirational people, sharing with others the experiences and lessons the life tought her so far. In 2021 she took a course in vegetarian and vegan cooking for yoga reterats in Spain with wonderful gourmet Chef Naga at his Gaya Gourmet academy. She also studied plant based diet nutrition and ayurveda basics. And she is a kundalini yoga teacher. Last three years she has been running Soul Homestay in Varkala, Kerala, where our retreat will take place. During our retreat, she will make sure that all your needs are met and that this retreat will be a life changer for you.

Retreat Location
Our retreat will take place in our homestay, Soul Homestay, in Varkala, which is located only 49 km from international airport in Trivandrum, Kerala, South India. Varkala is a famous tourist spot and offers a beach that has a very powerful spiritual meaning, and leads abruptly into the majestic and world famous Varkala cliff with its sheer red sandstone peeping out and amazing views from the top.
One of the enduring attractions of Varkala is the Janardhana Swami temple which is around 2,000 years old and functioning through the millennia to this day. Varkala cliff also invites tourists to its collection of shops selling trinkets, handicrafts and everything spiritual that is quintessentially Indian. It also has a number of lovely places perfect to drink or eat something.
